Teeth Withening

Teeth Whitening

Thanks to custom-made systems and latest teeth-whitening technology, whiter and brighter teeth can be yours. Teeth-whitening lightens discoloration of enamel and dentin; it includes a peroxide-based gel in a custom-fitted appliance that is worn over your teeth, either during the day or while you sleep.

Why are my teeth discolored?

There are many causes, the most common of which is aging. Other factors are staining substances, trauma, antibiotic staining, excessive fluoride and nerve degeneration.

Who is a candidate for teeth whitening?

Almost anyone with natural teeth! In some cases, treatment may not be effective. But your Denturist will quickly determine whether you are a viable candidate or not. Prime candidates are those with healthy, unrestored teeth. The process is most effective on those teeth that are mildly discolored, with darker stains requiring longer treatment.

How long does it take and how long will it last??

Results can usually be seen after the first night, with best results occurring after ten to fourteen nights. Some patients may need periodic re-whitening every four to six months.

How long do the results last?

Teeth will always be lighter than they were. However, some patients may need periodic re-whitening for one or two nights, every four to six months.
